secrets you’ll ever learn. Then you can teach it to others
earning their respect. You will become an expert and they will

    Reading, seminars, workshops, conferences, manuals,
newsletters, internet based learning. It’s stimulating, and it
works. You receive training at the local level as well as
regional and national levels. Coaches from other territories
share their experience at training sessions and the annual
    conference.

  6. What about support?

The home office is responsible for the overall administrating,
direction, research, development and marketing of the network.
This ensures that help is never far away.

  7. How do I make money?

Selling horticultural therapy through flower garden
landscaping. We offer many techniques to develop client leads.
Presentations are just one of the lead generators you’ll use.
Although ultimately its up to you to convert leads into
clients, you’ll find your earning potential will only be
limited by your enthusiasm and level of activity. Keep in mind
you’ll probably be running your business from a home office.
This means your overhead should be far less than that of many
    other franchises.

  8. Do I need a landscaping background?

A strong business background is a help. If you have owned or
managed a business before, or if you have a background in
sales, then this is probably the business for you. You will
need a sound understanding of business principles and an
entrepreneurial spirit, the right attitude, and a healthy dose
of motivation! Be prepared to show us how much passion you have
for helping others, and show us, too, the amount of drive you
have to succeed in this business.

  9. How will I get leads?

You will have all the latest lead generation and sales
techniques available to you. You will be using our powerful,
tried-and-tested marketing tools to develop your business.
Signs, yellow pages ads, direct marketing mailings, Chamber of
Commerce networking, brochures, referrals, our ads on the
internet, public relations through the media all help.

  10. What are the keys to success?

You must be results driven, motivated and willing to follow the
system. You must not only have exceptional client
relationships, you also contribute to the growth and
development of the franchise nationwide. The best franchisees
succeed because of an eagerness to learn and a desire to help
others, a willingness to work long hours to get the momentum
going, good people and relationship building skills, sales
ability or a willingness to learn and apply sales systems,
solid self-discipline and family support, an ability to take
directions when needed and to lead when necessary, having money
in reserve and being willing to invest it, a willingness to
take risks and to ask for help, and being well organized and a
good planner. Reasons for failure include: not following the
system, not working hard enough or not doing enough marketing,
going ahead despite family opposition, spending money before
earning it, not enjoying selling, not having the
self-discipline to cope, being underfunded and misleading the
franchiser as to the amount of funds available.

  11. How many hours will I work? When do I employ
    others?

The 1st 12 – 18 months are the hardest. You will be VERY busy,
both learning and running the business. Expect to spend 25
hours per week marketing, selling and gaining knowledge. As you
grow you can divide your time more evenly between marketing and
landscaping. This should see you working between 40 to 60 hours
a week for the first year. When you have 4 to 6 clients lined
up you will want to hire or recruit an associate so you can
leverage your time more effectively. At this point you will
start to choose the hours of work that suits you. Temperatures
over 85 degrees and under 40 degrees limit efficiency of
outside work providing time for leisure or for marketing.

  12. What is my territory?

Most of your clients probably will be within 20 minutes driving
time and much of your work with clients will be over the phone.
You will have the right to serve clients anywhere within the
zip code area(s) you select, and we approve. To serve clients
outside that area has 2 requirements.

    1. Permission from the territory owner,
    2. Payment of a 15% fee to that territory owner.
  13. What are the fees and royalties?

First territory (20,000 residents) franchise fee is $7,000 with
$4,000 for each additional territory. Royalty is 5.5% and
advertising is 4% of sales. Annual conventions and training
programs are encouraged and will be at your cost. This is one
of the few franchises that can be awarded with a total cost of
    under $9,500 for qualified candidates.

  14. What is the term?

Single territory term is 2 years. Other areas are 5 years with
renewal at the end of that term provided generally that the
franchise has been conducted in accordance with the terms of
the agreement during the previous term. Renewals are under the
terms and conditions as per those contained in the then current
    agreement.

  15. Any Guarantees?

NO. It’s up to you to take the field. Only YOU can ever be
truly accountable for your own success. We will always try to
give you the best service we can, and to answer your questions
promptly and with the best available information. We also
promise to keep you up to date with new improvements and
constantly keep striving to make your system better and more
    powerful.

  16. How much money can I make?

How many gardens can you sell? The US Securities Exchange
Commission does not allow franchisors to make undocumented
projections relating to sales, profit, costs, income as an
inducement to sell a franchise. Take a look at our Scholarship
Proposal for assistance with your business plan and a way to
help with general sales guesstimates and projections. We want
you to be financially successful. You must be for us to be.

  17. When can I start?

Register for our free ($150 for text books) week-long class to
help decide if a career in landscaping is a fit for you. After
the class you may want to apply for a license and learn the
priority and trade secrets and patent pending information for a
$2,000 training and testing fee. If awarded a franchise a
    closing will soon be scheduled.
